Fullstack Engineer (.NET)


What is this job position about?

  • What we're looking for

    A talented and passionate fullstack engineer to work on the BlogTalkRadio platform. You will work with our team of engineers to build, improve and maintain the website, improve platform stability and reduce operating costs.

    BlogTalkRadio is used by millions of people all around the world. You will join the web development team and iteratively introduce new features and improvements, optimize performances, fix bugs and security issues.

  • What you'll learn

    You will learn how evolve a legacy system in to a modern, stable and reliable platform, while transitioning it from on-premise to the cloud. You will learn how to decompose a complex system into its building blocks and make it effective.

  • What you'll do

    You will reduce the complexity of the platform, improve its stability and reliability, evolve it to embrace a modern and efficient development workflow. You will be asked to organize your time, plan your work, respect deadlines.

Which are the requisites to apply for this position?

We're looking for a passionate engineer with experience in both frontend and backend development (no graphic designer skills required). You are not scared of being challenged by iteratively improving legacy rock solid technologies, without feeling the need to rewrite everything from scratch. You love to bring in software development best practices.

You should have production experience with:

  • .NET 4 and above
  • Microsoft SQL Server and above
  • HTML5, CSS3, JS
  • Developing cross-browser compatibility (on both mobile and desktop)
  • Automatic testing

Moreover, we do have a couple of strict requirements:

  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
  • That you reside in a European country

Finally, you'll get some bonus points if you have any production experience with:

  • ES6
  • Web performance optimization
  • AWS core services (EC2, S3, Cloudfront)
